Sandbar Surfshop

Started in 2004 by a team of surfing pros looking to create a hub for a more sustainable lifestyle on the coast, Sandbar surfshop, at the core, is about providing a resource for surfers and beachgoers alike without compromising our Earth. Nearly all of of goods we provide in our store are locally sourced. Those that aren't like some of our surf products, are transparently sourced, meaning we know everything about where they came from and their manufacturing process. All of our products come with info cards that detail their origin, who made them, and their environmental impact.

All of our clothing, shoes, and many of our accessories are secondhand. We purchase new and gently-used items from individuals and businesses who are no longer using them and either sell them or repurpose them in our store. This way, we can reduce the amount of clothing being produced and put into landfills. For more information about our clothes buying program, see our homepage.

We feel that we can only do so much on our own. That is why we have chosen to partner with the Surfrider Foundation to help with ocean cleanup, disaster recovery, research, and conservation. Several members of our management team are active members of the foundation who attend cleanups, meetings, and seminars to learn all they can about protecting our oceans
